Finally, the last week!!

Hi everyone

First of all, let me tell you that I’m really sad because of the end of this wonderful course. As I said in other posts, I really enjoyed the course and all the learning that I acquired, all the classmates, Jodi and Celeste, well everything.

I know this is not the end of the whole process, I have not enough experience but now I feel I have because of all your shared experiences, suggestions and teachings. We never finish learning and I aware I have a lot to learn from this new way of teaching through digital resources and WEB sites. This course allowed me to open up my eyes and discovered new tools that allow not only teachers but also students to teach and learn in a innovative and easy way.

As I said on my NICENET´s post I really enjoyed and like the interactive class with power point. I started to use it from now and with my longest class, my experience was fantastic because it was very helpful and entertaining for the kids.

In general, I learnt from this digital course with all the real examples that the online course used. For example, Nicenet, the blogs, wiki, the web site of the course, all this tools were really useful for me, so I hope to try working on these kinds of resources to do easier my lessons.

Week 9!!

It's almost the end of the course but not of the learning...We started to explore the different tools that we can use according to the different skills, like aural/oral, writing, reading and so on. The internet is an entire world that probably we can't finish to explore it at all but if we are selective we can find most of the most helpful things for our purpose. 

With the article of Ferder & Soloman, We learnt the different characteristics that define the style of every learner and this is very relevant because it help us to design our classes and take into consideration the different strategies to teach and to learn. Also, to choose the correct material for our lessons and the methods we have to use for a success class!! 

Learning, no more, but in a different way!!

Week 8!!

According to the tools I and all my classmates have seen this week; I have to say…What Amazing Resources!!

All the new sites to improve our teaching and our student’s learning were really interesting and helpful, The way that this software facilitate our labor is really grateful because sometimes we don’t have the enough time to prepare all the material for different classes and for different kind of students. Probably, as professors we were used to do all the work and our students just received the information. I thing with the use of all this web resources students can become more involved in the activities and material for their learning.

Students can get in direct contact with the knowledge and, furthermore, they can be free to obtain and work hard in the skill they want to. I want to share with all of you that I have already given my lesson for kids using technology and that was very comfortable for me and very interesting for them. I used videos resources, images, and special effects of the different explored websites. I have to say that all of my 40 kids were paying attention and I think they learnt in a different way, probably no more, but at least they were interested.   

All of my children were so fascinated that some of them decided to do a Power Point presentation about their families. The most interesting for me is coming because some of them will work with PPT presentations and others will work with the traditional presentation on a piece of paper bond. I hope they do their best but, above all, I hope they have fun in their English class!! 

Week 7!!


Hi everyone, I'm really happy to be present in this week, I read and learnt new things that are useful for my lessons and my students. I really love to read about autonomy learning because I think it's a difficult kind of learning but not impossible. As it was said, we as professors have to teach our students different methods and techniques to improve their skills. 


The project about one computer class is very interesting, over all, for teachers who don't have access to a computer lab. Nowadays, there are many student´s book that include a CD-Room for doing extra activities on the computer. Sometimes, students don't use it because they don't have a computer at their homes but this is a good opportunity for us to use this CD in the classroom. Also, this can be a way to teach our students how to use these softwares and also I think it's important to teach them a good way to use internet, because sometimes they think internet it's all about chatting, and videos and music, but they don't notice all the educational information that is on the WEB.  

Week 5, in the middle!!

Hello, 

I'm really happy to see how many new things we’ve learnt so far. In this week, I discovered new technological tools to motivate and assess our students but mainly for teaching in a better way. For me, the most important is my students improve and develop all their skills, sometimes it's really difficult to get this but it's not impossible. As professors, we have to innovate and get involved with the technological advances in order to keep up with our students and their new ways to study.

In the course of this, I’ve discovered new resources that I didn’t know, new interactive things that make easy the process of teaching and learning. Sometimes is complicated but all the knowledge that we get, it´s all we need to put in practice our work as teachers.

Week 4

Hello, 

Well every week all of us learn something new and in this part the best was to share new resources for the reading skill. I think this is a difficult part of learning a new language because sometimes we are not used to learn neither in our own language. Nevertheless, it's important that we motivate this kind of activities in our students. I found several pages that will be useful for me in order to develop all the skills that involves any language. 

Other important think is about lesson plans and how we integrate the common activities with the technological resources. I think this is very important because there must be a lot of ways to employ this kind of tools in order to teach in a different way.

Week 3...My reflection

Delicious website was a great discovery for me on this week, I've never seen something like that and I'm sure I have to discover many other interesting websites. About the lesson plans focus on Oral and Aural skill, it was very useful because sometimes I have no more ideas to develop those kind of skills (oral/aural), so with this pages you can use this exercises just modifying and adapting the lessons to my own students.

Hello everyone!!

Fist of all, I wanna say sorry for posting until now. It was a difficult week for me and I had some problems with my internet connection but I am here trying to reflect about the whole learning of the second week.

Every little thing was interesting and in general I was surprised to explore new educational pages. I read all the recommendations from my classmates and I am going to use a lot of them in order to improve my teaching skills. I think many of those pages will be very interesting for my students.

Also, I like the use of the ABCD objectives because it is very clear to understand and the structure to write the objective is very complete.

I hope to have a better third week...thanks for your recommendations!

Welcome class 1

This is what happen in the first week of the course, we started to know each other what was something fantastic because I realized that I have many e-classmates all around the world. I think that is very interesting because we have the opportunity to learn from each other, not only about the language but also about the culture. Also, we started to use the technology for a distance learning or e-learning in this case the blog, the web map and similar tools. I think the beginning of the class was important to introduce us in this new e-learning class, then, I expect to learn more every week!!
